The name of the article was the "loneliest train station in England" and was published Jan 23, 2018, by Stephen Castle. The article covers about how the loneliest train station in England is a ghost station and has the least amount of transportation use out of all of the train stations in England. The train comes ones a week and comes around 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The event is in England where theres a lonely station that has a train that comes one a week. Recently in december the service was cut to one train a week and rail authorities will not agree to close the rail road to sybolize the dysfunctions of Britians tranportation network. The Teesside airport station is actually a hard station to find and is hidden bhind a airfield. The train station only contains two platforms a place to sit including a shelter, and a pay phone. Appreantly this station was used reguarely before the airport changed it name and the signs at the rail station were never updated. The train station has been made a "laughingstock" says a transport campaigner, Suzanne Foster. People have been trying to save the rail road and there is actually a Facebook page called "SAVE Teesside Airport". Closing the station could be complex and could be costly and could be way to much work. Some people have tried to close the rail station and perhaps move it to a new area closer to the terminal. Although that was rejected due to a claim that it wanted to run down the airport and sell it off for housing. This event took place in Teesside, England, and has recently been reported on in 2017 - 2018 but has been a issue for awhile. The airport used to be used frequently until a airport that ran the train station decided to change their name and never updated the train stations signs. The train station ended up being hidden behind a airfield and slowely forgotten about over the years. The station went from being used almost everyday to being used one a week by rail authorities and has became a laughingstock over the years. In my opinion I think they should keep this trian station running for the people and historical purposes aswell. If they ended up taking down the train station they could end up getting rid of peoples oppertunity to travel somewhere every week or possibly take away the train conductors jobs. The train station has also been a historical monument cosidering it was one of the first train stations in england and should be kept in one piece. Link to the Event
